Opened on July 15, 1981, Costabella Tropical Beach Hotel stands as the longest-operating resort in Mactan. The journey began with a beach house that served as a weekend haven for the founders\u2019 family and friends. Luis R. Alvarez and Merceditas Borromeo-Alvarez, also founders of Montebello Villa Hotel in Cebu City, created Costabella as a day tour beach destination. This vision led to the construction of 16 family rooms, which over the decades have expanded to 151 Rooms<\/strong><\/a>, 3 restaurants, and numerous facilities, all maintaining the cozy Costabella charm.
